Yeah, I know, really bad timing to put up an absence notice, but I'm just as upset as you are.
One of my good friends (Andrew) has just been told that he has a tumor on his brain that is cancerous. It's completely spontaneous and there's nothing he could have done to stop it. This boy was also my prom date, and so not only am I out of a date, but I'm terrified to be out of a friend.
Due to the whole mess, I'm just really shaken. I'll be in the cbox but I apologize if I don't post a lot. This is a really hard time for me as far as school workload, my friend as mentioned above, and the whole college thing.
Long story short, I'll be here, just not as active as I usually am.
Also, HAPPY (LATE) BIRTHDAY MUTT! I'm so sorry I missed it. My life can eat a dick. You're the best staff member I could have asked for, and you're my bf4l lelz.

Holy crap, I'm really sorry to hear about Andrew, Nile. I lost a friend to cancer a few months (about a year, I suppose) ago, and it's still pretty hard on me. I sincerely hope things improve for him, and I'll keep him in my prayers and my good wishes. Just make sure you're there for him, because it's always important to spend as much time with friends as you can, 'specially with matters like this, even though it's hard to, knowing what you know. They're scared too.
School is stressful, I can agree with you on that. I only have about three weeks left, but I'm already wearing thin, and I just want it to be over. Just get those tests done and be done with this. Gah! Thankfully, I don't have to go looking for colleges, or applying to them yet. My brother is in college so I know how stressful that whole thing is though. But you'll get into a good college, don't worry. Just suffer through the last bit of the year. You can do it, Nile!

Ready for the best update ever?
My friend died last night. His name was Junxing Wang, but we called him Jackie. He was twenty years old, about to be twenty-one. He was driving and was hit by a car full of drunk girls coming home from the University of Akron in Ohio. They say he died on impact. The girls in the other car (three of them) are on life support; though rumor has it around my friends that one of them is dead now.
Life's a bitch, guys. All I can say is that I'm trying to hold on and hold on with a little bit of grace. Stress has put me up to cigarette smoking (horrible shit, never ever ever do it) and I'm honestly to the point where I'm having trouble functioning normally from lack of sleep 'cause I can't get to sleep without like six fucking sleeping pills.
So that's that.
