Life was drastically different now. It no longer consisted of belly scratches, chew toys, and soft, cushiony beds for sleeping on. Alas, it now had a much more feral feel to it, and Edita was only just getting a firm hold on how things worked outside of the human-dominated world she once depended on so heavily. Of course, her appearance suggested otherwise; malnourished, dreary... she was an utter wreck. Thoughts of her master constantly crossed her mind, sending her mental state spiraling out of the norm and into uncharted territories. Not to the point of insanity, but enough to distract the girl from most of reality. For that reason, Edita planned on returning to the very clearing that birthed her incessant (and possibly unhealthy) reliving of that fateful evening.
This journey was not a pleasant one, and she'd been dreading it ever since making the decision to come back and face her ultimate fear. Yet, despite the battles that raged on in the darling's head regarding why she should or shouldn't follow through with this idea, she went on anyways--no matter how slow she moved.
Fortunately, the weather had at least been on Edita's side. The evening air, although cool, carried little wind. Any sensation of chilly temperatures were felt only at the tips of her thin ears, where even then it was only a slight numbing. That, however, became the least of her worries when her destination finally came into view. It automatically cemented the marmalade maiden's paws to the ground below, her heart nearly bursting through the barrier that was her ribcage. The place gave off such an eerie aura... one that undoubtedly put her on edge, especially upon hearing several noises from the surrounding foliage. Naturally, one would suspect it was nothing more than a harmless squirrel or something similar, but in Edita's state of mind, she was expecting that same band of ruthless beasts to come tearing out from the bushes.
Strangely, the usual cowardliness that she was prone to display did not immediately come about. A feeling of anger coursed through her body instead, and had any of those mutts actually leapt out of the shadows, the girl certainly would have gone into a blind rage. For now, though, the Jindo merely stood as still as a statue, only muttering one quick word: "Hello?"
ooc: forgive the crappiness. :<

The fucking bitch! Besitzen let out a snarl, purposely kicking up snow as he prowled his way through the northern territories. He couldn't believe her! The little whore! The friggin' tramp had paraded herself in front of him, used him to get what she wanted, and in the morning had vanished without so much as a goodbye. He had woken up in bed alone and confused, the scent of her body on his overwhelming. But the continual rain had washed away any traces of where she may have run off to. And the male was downright furious. He didn't even know her name...
Besitzen's girls were not allowed to leave.
The next time he found her, she would be damn lucky if he managed to not kill her.
For now the Belgian T. had other obligations to attend to. Time was running out on one of his debts. The Collector was not a patient dog. On top of that, he demanded only the rarest of gems, sparkly baubles found only in the harshest locations. Once in the past Zen had failed to come trough; disappointing The Collector was not an event he wanted to relive.
So he was forcing all of his romantic frustrations into his search. The northern mountains were rich with ores, a fine place to find suitable payment. But first he had to get through the Plains. It was a good think he possessed a double thick coat fore even in spring these lands were cold. As long, shaggy fur danced with his movements, he felt quite comfortable in these lands.
Well, he did until he pushed his way through some underbrush and entered a small clearing...
Zen froze, dark eyes staring at the small form of a female. She wasn't anything like the one that had left him, her frame smaller and fur shorter. But she was a female none the less and such canines were always reason enough for him to take pause. With the sting of rejection still fresh in his mind, he couldn't help but rake his gaze up and down her appearance. It was a bit difficult to make out specific features in the dusty glow of evening, but what he could see was enough to have him transfixed. A new trinket stood there before him, and he would not let this one get away.

The sounds coming from the forest shrubbery over yonder continued to grow louder, and that was more than enough to convince Edita that they were coming back for a second helping. At least one, that is. It sounded as if this creature walked in solitude--without his horrid companions to help slay her. As a result, the girl took to a defensive stance, which was certainly an unnatural look for a canine so dainty and feminine. That fact failed to spurn her anger, and the stranger's arrival only ushered those emotions to an even greater height. Filthy, she spat under her breath. Oh, but how sad it would be when the little darling learned that this fellow had no part in the act she was getting so worked up about.
"You..." whispered the Jindo with a scowl, her voice barely audible, "you despicable cur!" Edita added, this time much louder. The ire in her voice was nothing like she'd ever heard come out from her mouth, but understandably so! After all, the girl believed this male to be the killer of her master... the one who so easily weaved her life into a horrible nightmare from which she could not wake up. Thus, she felt as though her words and behaviour were perfectly justified. What may have been most uncharacteristic, however, was the sudden lurching motion she made towards the bigger dog. Surely common sense was not present in her mind that moment.
Not a trace of hesitance shone through in Edita's strides, it nothing but sheer determination to 'even the score'. "You'll pay!" She screamed, fighting back the softer emotions. At that point, the marmalade-coated dahlia had reached him and was already trying to establish a grip with her teeth anywhere on his body. His neck was obviously prime real estate, and had things worked out, then that would be the exact target of hers.
All Edita wanted was to avenge the loss of one she loved so dearly, a desire that became quite clear in the utter desperation in her actions.
ooc; you've got my permission to 'god-mode' in your next post, so long as it's not too severe!

Besitzen's head tilted slightly to the side, confusion working its way onto his face. What was up with his female luck lately? It seemed that every time he found one appealing on the surface, she turned out to be a crackpot underneath. This one was acting like he'd committed some horrible wrong to her. Now he knew that wasn't at all possible. He'd never seen this particular bitch in his life. If he had, well, he never forgot a face nor the punishment deserved for leaving him.
His tall ears folded back as she lunged for him. He just didn't get it. What had he done to incur her wrath? The look in her eyes was one of hellbent determination. If he wasn't a well trained fighter, maybe he actually would have felt some fear. Instead he met her attack head up, never taking his eyes off her as she finally got too close for her own good.
The Belgian countered the grab for his neck by rearing up on two legs. It was a lunging motion of his own, a half jump that had his front end hurtling towards her. With their size difference, it was a matter of seconds before he'd knocked her over and pinned her body to the ground. Raw aggression danced in his eyes, making the smile on his face appear more menacing than it should have been. He was still confused, yes, but no little girl was going to get the jump on him. Pushing his face down close to her's, he forced her to look him in the eye, his hot breath fanning her face. "Trust me, darlink. If ve've met before, hyu vouldn't be meeting me again like this."

The moment he made a move against her own, Edita panicked. It was almost as if this first sign of life in him had triggered a reaction in her mind that immediately told her to flee, or merely scream that such a foolish idea was bound to kill her now. She'd gone much too far to back out, considering that fact that her feet were off the ground and she was heading straight for the male. Yet that failed to discourage her from trying, which came in the form of an awkward, wriggling body in midair. The girl even went so far as to jut her forelegs out in an effort to keep him away should all else fail, but that in itself was a plan that couldn't be completely relied upon.
Edita soon found that out, as her body swiftly collided with the much heavier frame of the opposing dog. The impact could have been a lot more painful if it weren't for the rush of adrenaline that coursed through her veins, but it what also contributed was the 'distraction' the male provided. Before she knew it, he had her pinned between himself and the cold ground and was shoving his face far beyond the boundaries of any personal bubble. It allowed for little to no freedom in the movement of her head, forcing the girl to stare up at the looming beast with fear blooming in her eyes. Not only that, but Edita was now beginning to realize that she'd mistaken him for someone else; his voice, his colouring... they were different than the man he was originally connected to.
"I-I'm sorry!" She yelped, cowering below him and desperately trying to squirm her way out of trouble. "I mistook you for s-someone else! Please, l-let me go!" Edita never truly found begging to be something she would ever do, but in this case, it seemed to be the only chance she had at getting away from him.
That was all she wanted, just to escape the control he had over her, and it quickly began to snowball into desperation... hence the kicking motions from her hind legs, aimed at anywhere they could reach. The petite dahlia did not consider any consequences (had contact occurred), nor did she appear to care at the moment. As long as it permitted the potential to flee, it would be considered.

Oh how cute! She was begging him! The last time he'd had a female trapped like this she had refused to beg. She'd also left him to wake up alone. The growl in his throat was not directed towards the little Jindo, and when he realized how far from the present his mind had drifted he quickly corrected the behavior. Instead a smirk crept onto his black face, mind pondering her words.
She had mistaken him for someone else? He knew of only one other dog to share his pure blooded breeding. And unlike himself, his brother had rapidly dropped the German accent they'd picked up from their mother. Besitzen himself had made sure it was the one part of his mother he never lost, liking they way it made his voice sound and the way it attracted females.
He was about to correct little mistake when her foot caught the base of his ribcage. A snarl ripped through the air, several droplets of blood falling from his tender underside. But instead of relenting, of letting her go, he forced more of his weight on top of her. Anger danced within his eyes, teeth dangerously close to her face as he whispered in her ear. "If hyu know vat's good for hyu, hyu vill schtop struggling. Understood?" His teeth clicked together then, a threat to spill her own blood if she drew any more of his.

Upon feeling her hind foot connecting with his underbelly, Edita felt a brief surge of hope. She assumed that inflicting some form of pain on the male would have distracted him... at least enough to open up a small window of time to slip free. But alas, he didn't so much as flinch following contact, despite the blood that now seeped out from his body and dripped onto the girl's midsection. The warmth the emanated from it alerted her to what she had done, and it only stirred up the fears that already plagued most of her being. By this point, Edita merely hoped that she would escape this ordeal with her life still intact.
A subtle wheezing rasped against her throat after he forced an even greater weight on her body. It was pitiful how pathetic and helpless she must have looked, and it worsened once she began to try and coil herself up into something of a canine fetal position--space permitting, of course. The proximity between her delicate face and those horrid fangs made the little darling's heart race; her eyes, those pretty lavender eyes, were shut as tight as possible as she turned her head away. "Please don't kill me." Came forth a whispered plea, the tone desperate and terribly shaky. It was difficult to keep any sort of composure in a situation like this, especially with the type of personality Edita possessed.
The warning that exuded from his mouth eased her thoughts regarding death, so long as she 'behaved', and in response, the dahlia nodded. That certainly didn't shoot down the rest of her angst, though. She was still pinned beneath him, and at this moment, the male had close to all the freedom in the world with what he could do to her. Most notably because he had her aware of the consequences of any potential hassles she caused him. "W-why won't you get off of m-me?" Edita then asked, her ears folded and eyes shut once more, expecting some sort of retaliation from the dog standing above her. if there was a single thing certain, it was that he managed to instill fear within her quite quickly.

Besitzen cocked his head to one side, eyes curious and slightly amused at her question. There were a number of reasons he had not let her up yet. Doing so would possibly invite a second threat. And his position atop her was one he found to be rather pleasant. He had always enjoyed the feel of a woman struggling beneath him. But the answer he chose to give was one that made him chuckle, his eyes watching every movement on her pretty little face.
"Hyu never asked. And hyu schertaintly didn't schay please." The laugh that bubbled forth from his throat was deep and sensual, quite calm despite the situation they were in. He chose to make himself quite comfortable on top of her body, laying himself down on top of her. It would hopefully prevent her from struggling more, from doing any more unneeded damage. One brow was raised as he continued to watch her, smile still on his face as he shifted the conversation back a few topics. "Now vhy don't hyu tell me vat my brother has done?"

She merely stared up at the large fellow, her eyes reflecting the fear that coursed through her trembling body. She wanted to run; to escape this scene that had unfolded because of her own naivety and foolishness. The very idea of returning to where her human's strings of life were severed was a terrible one in the first place, and Edita couldn't understand what had possessed her to think that it would help in offering her closure. The inner fight she was having with herself increased the pace of her breathing (fast as it was to begin with), and with memories seeping back, even sent the little darling into a clammy sweat.
His words tore Edita from the realm of her mind, causing her to startle beneath his weight. She found little humour in the male's comments, despite the entertainment he seemed to have gotten out of it. A small, distasteful frown befell her leathery lips, giving way to a grunt once he settled comfortably atop her body. It limited the Jindo's breathing, allowing for sharp and shallow sips of air little by little. "He..." she paused, contemplating whether telling him would be helpful at all in this situation; however, it was the fact that he could very well end her life in an instant that drove the delicate female to answer, "he killed my master." Her words were muttered, quieted by the emotion she carried from the event.

Fear, Besitzen had long ago decided, was very attractive on a female. It made their eyes widen and their bodies tremble. The rushed breathing made their skin flush pleasantly, and the pleading whimpers had the ability to put him over the edge. And to know that he could both cause and relieve that fear so easily only fueled his methods of treating women. He liked to sweep in and play the protector, and he liked it when they knew their place. Females were such fickle creatures when it came to their emotions. And watching this one squirm beneath him only increased his need for a new lucky charm. Just because one whore had left him in the night didn't mean he would not find another, and the one he had trapped was looking more delightful by the second.
The little females distress did, however, bring out a sweeter side in him. Right now it was time to play the protector. Someone had hurt his new little trinket. Blood ties with the murderer be damned. He did not like the idea of someone hurting his property. Pressing his face towards hers, tenderly he licked her cheek. While he still had no plans of letting her up until asked politely, he would try and sooth her. If she calmed down, she would be able to breathe easier.
"So hyu are a pet?" He licked her cheek again, nuzzling her with his nose in comfort. "My mother vas a pet. Schee vas a goot bitch. But my brother," he paused here, shaking his head back and forth in disapproval. Truth be told, he wasn't all that surprised by the story he'd just been told. He had always thought his brother fell in with the wrong crowd. "I told him that English Schetter vas a bad choice. But schee had him vrapped around her liddle paw. Awful, really. If he had schtuck vit me, none uv dis vould have happened, I am schure uv it."
