Okay. So yesterday I pretty much destroyed the internet in my house in an attempt to fix it, took three hours, and got it back. Today I woke up to find the house had no internet for another reason. Two hours on the phone with Verizon and the only thing we can get rehooked up is the desktop.
Long story short, the router is shot and I will have no solid internet connection until sometime in mid to late August. At the moment I am leeching my neighbor's.
As most of you know, I go down to Florida a lot. And it's time for that yearly pilgrimage. So from July 17th to who knows when in August, I will be gone for a minimum of 4 weeks. One of those weeks I will definitely have zero internet and cell service; I just don't know which one. The rest of the time I will have sporadic internet depending on how packed my days are and how strong the signals I leech down there are (or depending on how long I can hold hostage my grandma's computer before someone else calls dibs).
So yeah. For the next five weeks minimum I'm going to be somewhat out of commission. We're not getting a new router till we get back from Florida, so I'm just gonna keep my fingers crossed that my neighbor's signal stays pretty stable. ^^;;
Don't fault me if I don't get posts out right away. At the moment I'm considering myself pretty damn lucky I've got an internet connection at all.
